New Feature: Recycling Volume Reports for Suppliers

By The Pallet Book

One of the most common requests we hear from suppliers in our network is simple: give us better visibility into what is happening in the market. How much volume is moving in our region? What pallet types are in highest demand? Where is pricing trending? Until now, most suppliers relied on anecdotal information and gut feel. Today, we are rolling out recycling volume reports to address that gap.

What the Reports Include

Every supplier in The Pallet Book network now receives a monthly report covering their active regions. Each report includes aggregate request volume by pallet type and grade, average quoted pricing by category compared to the previous month, regional demand heat maps showing where buyer activity is concentrated, and lead conversion rates across the network.

The data is aggregated and anonymized — no individual buyer or competitor information is exposed. The goal is to give suppliers the market context they need to make better inventory, pricing, and capacity decisions.

Why This Matters

The pallet recycling industry is highly localized. A supplier in Calgary has limited visibility into what is happening in Edmonton, let alone Toronto or Montreal. But market dynamics in one region often signal trends that will reach others — a surge in construction activity drives demand for heavy-duty pallets, a seasonal retail ramp increases Grade A volume, a plant closure shifts supply patterns.

With monthly reports, suppliers can spot these patterns early and position accordingly. If demand for heat-treated export pallets is trending up in your region, that is a signal to build treatment capacity. If Grade B pricing is softening, that might be the time to focus on repair operations that convert lower-grade inventory into higher-margin Grade A units.

Available Now

Reports are generated automatically on the first of each month and accessible through your supplier dashboard. If you are a supplier in our network and do not see the reports section, contact us and we will get you set up. If you are a supplier who is not yet part of The Pallet Book network, this is one more reason to apply — the data alone is worth the onboarding conversation.
